Knurling rolls have no pitch and are swiveled at the lead angle corresponding to that of the profile to be rolled.
Lead angle rolls differ from knurling rolls by having a pitch in the profile. The sum of the lead angle and swivel angle results in the effective lead angle in the workpiece.
