TThe INDEX ABC machine is a compact lathe for short turned parts made from bar
stock.
It has an inclined bed design with two independent turrets.
The top turret is primarily intended for internal machining and
machining, while the lower turret is used for external machining.
The turret arrangement enables collision-safe working and simple programming
programming with high tool availability.
The large free space in the working area enables a favourable chip fall
The work area consists of two turrets:
‘Turret 1’
- Disc turret with 7 radially arranged tool holders Ø 25 mm DIN
69880 and a holder for the reinforced synchronised spindle on the turret station

machining on the the working spindle. Two additional tools can also be used,
can be equipped with a tool feed drive.
‘Revolver 2’
- Turret with 6 symmetrical dovetail holders and each station with 2 locating
holes for cylindrical shank per station.
The following tool systems can be used.
- stationary tools that can be moved in the Z direction
- Driven tools with cylindrical shank Ø25 (can be used in two positions per
station)
