During cold periods, the hydraulic system is kept continuously running, ensuring that the hydraulic oils remain warm. The Terex Fuchs contains 700 liters of hydraulic oil, and oil change intervals are determined through oil sample analysis.
A significant reduction in operating costs is achieved through electric operation, which is considerably cheaper than diesel. The power supply comes from the factory network at 690 volts, which is stepped down on the machine to the Terex Fuchs operating voltage of 400 volts. The electric motor driving the hydraulics has an output of 160 kW. The pump delivers nearly 500 liters per minute at a pressure of 360 bar. Power to the pump is supplied according to the oil demand of the hydraulic consumers, which reduces overall power requirements.
