ZERMA ZTS

General:
The single shaft shredders of the ZTS-/ZTTS-series have been specially developed for the shredding of whole or pre-shredded tyres. Both the ZTS and ZTTS shredders have a large rotor diameter of 760 mm and working widths of 1500 to 3000 mm. Both types are equipped with oversized external bearings and double drives. The tangential infeed ensures optimum feeding of the input material without the need for an additional hydraulic pusher. All tyre shredders have special wear protection in all relevant machine areas. ZTS and ZTTS differ in the number of rows of stator knives and in the screen perforation installed.

Applications:
Machines of the ZTS series have one stator knife row and are therefore used for the first stage in the pre-shredding of car tyres or other large, solid parts to a final fineness of approx. 150 mm. For the second stage a ZTTS shredder is used, which grinds the material to approx. 20 mm. The well thought-out machine design together with the adjustable blade gap allow an optimal separation of rubber and steel fractions. In a further stage, the steel fractions can be separated via a strong magnetic separator.
