Description:
Offered for sale is a WaterEvent SWT 1000 test chamber from Weiss Technik – ideal for standardized testing of enclosure or component water ingress protection (IP) classes.
With optional features, testing according to IPX9K (high-pressure/steam jet), ISO 20653, and additional standards is possible.

Jet nozzles for IPX5/6, among others, compliant with standards:
ISO 20653, DIN EN 60529, SAE J 575, JIS D 0203,
MIL-STD 810, EN 60068-2-18, IEC 60598-1.

Possible Protection Classes & Tests
Depending on configuration, the SWT system covers a wide range of tests:
Standard configuration: IPX3 / IPX4 tests (spraying and splashing water from all directions).
Optionally: Higher protection classes up to IPX5 / IPX6 (jetting water), and – with corresponding high-pressure configuration – up to IPX9 and IPX9K.
Tests are based on standards such as DIN EN 60529 (for IP protection levels) and ISO 20653 (e.g. for vehicle or outdoor applications) – depending on intended use.
