The Spanner plant consists of the cogenerator and the reformer. The reformer, the heart of the wood chip system, produces natural wood gas from wood chips through a controlled process. This gas is used to operate the cogenerator. The generated thermal energy can be used to heat buildings, drying plants or district heating networks, while the electricity is fed into the grid.
