Process sequence:
Shells are delivered in containers and tipped into a receiving hopper. Inside this hopper, three augers feed the material onto an inclined auger. This auger meters the shells into the dryers. The shells move upwards through the dryer by means of vibration and over a contact surface heated to 180°C, which warms the shells. At the dryer outlet, a temperature monitoring system is installed to ensure that only properly heated shells are transferred to the next drying stage. If the required temperature is not achieved, the feed is stopped and the shells are recirculated. Generated vapor is centrally extracted and discharged. Dried shells are conveyed by two augers to a Big Bag station for packaging.

Optionally, a centrifuge can be installed between the metering hopper and the first dryer to separate any free-flowing liquid. The system is heated by two gas-fired thermal oil heaters. The plant is designed for a throughput of 2 tons per hour with an evaporation capacity of kg/hr.
