General Description
The JCI 146 is a voltmeter adapter component designed for integration into broader experimental systems.

Combined with our JCI 140, the system enables the measurement of current-carrying conductors with voltages up to ±60 kV DC through direct connection with an accuracy of ±2% (nominal) and minimal loading effects on the device under test.
The high input impedance and low capacitance of the JCI 146 are suitable for more accurate DC voltage measurements.
Other conventional techniques for directly measuring high voltages (e.g., high-voltage meters, capacitive and resistive divider networks, etc.) often produce inaccurate results due to loading effects caused by the test setup.
This device can be used to verify the calibration and accuracy of high-voltage sources by power utilities, calibration test houses, and cable manufacturers, to name a few applications.
