Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Konz near Trier, werwie is a medium-sized German family business employing around 40 people. The company's core competency lies in the global trade of nearly-new, high-quality road construction machinery, with a particular focus on equipment from the Wirtgen Group. Wirtgen, Vögele, and Hamm, all German manufacturers, are global market leaders in their respective segments. In addition to the worldwide sale of used road construction machinery, equipment rental within Germany is also an integral part of the business. werwie further offers comprehensive customer services, ranging from consulting and support to repairs, maintenance, and the supply of spare parts for all types of machinery.

Since 2013, werwie has operated a branch office in Neckarsulm in addition to its headquarters in Konz, and in 2019, a further branch was opened in Bad Hersfeld, Hesse.
