About Us

The foundations of the modern ŞATO Companies, known by VD: Bayrampaşa VKN: 800, were laid in the 1980s by our industry veteran Şükrü ŞENGÜL, who started his business career in the food sector in Ulubey, Ordu.

In the early 1990s, our company expanded its activities in İstanbul’s Bayrampaşa district, initiating ŞATO Companies’ core timber business. In 2000, we continued our forest products operations with the wholesale of board products under the Marmarmara Orman name. We carried out wholesale sales for leading factories such as CAMSAN, SFC, STARWOOD, and YILDIZ ENTEGRE. In 2003, by board decision, we branched into the construction sector, leaving our mark on many projects throughout Istanbul.

By establishing şatodoor, a leading producer of high-quality Turkish doors, we also began operating in the door sector.

Besides his successful business career, Şükrü ŞENGÜL is a philanthropist involved in many associations, believing that every individual shares a responsibility in solving societal problems. Since 1987, Şato Companies have contributed significantly to the national economy and employment. The journey that began with timber in the early 1990s reached new heights in the 2010s. Rapidly growing, the firm has worked with some of Turkey’s largest companies—such as Varyap, Kahraman İnşaat, Haldız İnşaat, Mufa İnşaat, Vendaka Technology Center, Tiniş İnşaat, İş Bank as a subcontractor, and construction works for Vakıfbank, among others.

Şato Companies have made substantial progress in economic and employment terms, and have extended their expertise in the wood industry into new sectors: construction, contracting, electrical and electronics, machinery parts, CNC machine supply, lubricants, and furniture. Their ventures into these sectors have fueled rapid growth.
